An Ode to Law School

It was the night before finals and all through the Gump,
Not a student was sleeping, they were all too worked up.
The Professors had written with treacherous care,
To make sure exams would cause the students despair.

At 3 am when all students trudged off the bed,
As A’s and F’s all danced in their heads.
They wondered and pondered why all this should be
If this is what law school is supposed to do to me?

They cried and they sobbed till the last test was done,
And wondered how many classmates would succumb.
Oh contracts, and property, oh torts and civ pro,
Oh crim law and LRW brings only but woe.

From Biz Azz, and Evidence, to the dreaded Con Law
To Sales, Wills & Trusts and Employment Law
They only seem to matter to a group at the BAR,
But while here at law school they seem so sub par.

So my wish to all on this last study night
Is to take it all in and forget all the fright.
We have worked hard, struggled and the end is so near
Just remember 8 days and the end WILL BE here.
